How to Quit Caffeine in 30 Days

I’ve been hooked on coffee and/or energy drinks for the last 25 years.
Been trying to quit recently but have not had much success.
Recently devised a method of gradual withdrawal, called the “T Minus 30 Method.”
Created a series of 30 energy drinks of weaker and weaker strength.
Just want to present it as a possible way to get off caffeine.

Today, May 26, 2013, is my first day without any caffeine.  I have videos of my daily progress, plus facts, book reports and current events about caffeine.

This is how you mix up the drinks:
The supplies you are going to need for the program are:
30 bottles of water,
15 energy shots
an oral syringe
and a small measuring cup
thats all you’ll need

Remove 2 oz. from each bottle to leave room for the energy shots
and then label the bottles from 1 to 30.

Next you’ll need fifteen energy shots.  Try to get the 2 oz bottles. Its important that each bottle contain about 60 ml, though anything from 55 to 65 ml will be fine.  (***If using a brand that comes in a different volume than 2 oz. or 60 ml, see the alternate measuring system below***)

Next you’ll need an oral syringe.  Try to get a syringe that can measure in 2 ml increments.

Finally you’ll need a small measuring cup.

Line up the drinks in two rows of 15. Start with bottle 1 at the top left, lining up in order up  to bottle 15 at the top right.  Then , in the second row, reverse the direction, putting bottle 16 under bottle 15  increasing in order up to bottle 30 at the bottom left  You know you’ve done it right if the bottle numbers add up to 31 in each column.

Once everything is lined up correctly, take your first energy shot and pour it into the measuring cup.  The ultimate goal here is that we are going to decrease the strength of the drinks  in increments of 2 ml.  So drink 30 will have 2 ml, drink 29 will have 4 ml, drink 28 will have 6 ml etc. all the way up to drink 1 which will have almost a full strength energy shot.

For this first cup, draw out 2 ml of the energy shot using the oral syringe.
and then put that 2 ml into bottle 30 in the bottom row
then pour the rest of the measuring cup into bottle 1.   So here we’ll have a very strong drink in bottle 1 and a very weak drink in bottle 30.

Now go to the next column.  This time increase the amount by 2 ml.  So measure out 2 times 2 or 4 ml of the energy shot,
and then we’ll put that 4ml into bottle 29 in the bottom row.
then pour the rest of the measuring cup into bottle 2.

And so continue doing this all the way down the row, each time adding an additional 2 ml to the bottom row, and pouring the remainder of the measuring cup into the bottle in the top row.

Keep the bottles refrigerated, or not, based on personal preference.

All you have to do now is drink one bottle a day for the next 30 days and you should be weaned completely off of caffeine in a month.

*** Measuring increments to use if not using a 2 oz. energy shot:

If using a 3 oz. energy shot,  measure in increments of 3 ml. per bottle. (remember to remove 3 oz. of water from each bottle to make room for the energy shot)

If using a 4 oz. energy shot,  measure in increments of 4 ml. per bottle. (remember to remove 4 oz. of water from each bottle to make room for the energy shot)
