Second day of withdrawal symptoms…
Video Summary:
Feeling better today. Yesterday had full-blown withdrawal symptom:
headache, irritability, bad mood, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, flu-like symptoms.
Interesting how all the symptoms hit at once, rather than gradually.
Symptoms were probably a little milder than when I went cold turkey, but still pretty significant.
Perhaps my liver is fully neutralizing the 100 mg of caffeine, so I’m functionally equivalent to being caffeine free. Not sure.
Book Report: “Caffeine Advantage”
Probably written in response to a series of books bashing caffeine in the late1990s.
Was there some political reason for the authors writing this less scholarly, pro-caffeine, general-readership book after their previous book? Hard to know.
Describes the advantages of caffeine, and there probably are some real-life advantages. My problem is when caffeine just becomes a daily crutch to wake up in the morning. Also I don’t like the side effects of life-long drug dependency.
Withdrawal headaches are caused by blood vessels dilating in the brain. I actually want my blood vessels relaxed in my brain, even if I get headaches for a day or two. I want the blood to flow freely in my brain.
