When is a good time to begin a sugar withdrawal program?

Video Summary:

Today I have 13 tsp. or 54 grams of sugar.  The drink is still very sweet.  Yesterday went OK, so I’m still on the program and everything is going according to plan.  I haven’t been having  too many sugar cravings and when I do, I just eat some fruit.  I have a guest coming over for the next week, so I may or may not be able to do videos, although I am going to try to stay on the program.

I decided to do this program in September which is probably not the best time to do something like this.  I was originally thinking I would undertake this project in the new year as a New Year’s resolution,  because there tends to be a lot of stuff going on this time of year:  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas holidays, guests, family events, food, etc.  On the other hand, is just said to myself “Why wait?”,  might as well just do it now.  If you can withdraw from sugar this time of year, you can probably do it anytime.

Another reason why it may be difficult to do this program in the fall may be from a “biological rhythm” point of view.  I think your body tends to want to consume a lot of fat and sugar at the end of the summer and early autumn just from a primal point of view of surviving the winter back in the Stone Age.  So it might be more of a challenge to do this program now, but I think I might as well just start as soon as I can.

Nothing much else to report other than yesterday went OK, and I was looking forward to the drink this morning.  I’ve just been taking sips of the sweet drink throughout the day rather than drinking it all at once.
